Becoming a Volunteer with Action on Disability
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
- Afterschool service (5-11 year olds)
- Teenage support service (12-17 year olds)
- Asperger’s Youth Group (12-17 years old)
- A range of adult services including sport, art, IT etc. 7 days a week
- 1 to 1 Befriending (children or adults)
- Administration
- Fundraising
- Drive our minibus
- Summer scheme
WHO CAN APPLY?
We welcome all individuals aged 16 and over who have the following:
- Suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults
- 2 satisfactory references and 2 pre employment checks.
WHY VOLUNTEER?
- It offers a challenge for people to participate, learn and develop
Citizenship - Has a positive impact within local communities.

OUR ROLE
The Action on Disability Project offers a diverse range of opportunities.
The project has a volunteer co-ordinator in place to recruit and match volunteers to opportunities, manage and supervise volunteers and offer support and encouragement.
