Becoming a Volunteer with Action on Disability


WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

 

  • Afterschool service (5-11 year olds)
  • Teenage support service (12-17 year olds)
  • Asperger’s Youth Group (12-17 years old)
  • A range of adult services including sport, art, IT etc. 7 days a week
  • 1 to 1 Befriending (children or adults)
  • Administration
  • Fundraising
  • Drive our minibus
  • Summer scheme


WHO CAN APPLY?

 

We welcome all individuals aged 16 and over who have the following:

 

  • Suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults
  • 2 satisfactory references and 2 pre employment checks.

 


WHY VOLUNTEER?

 

  • It offers a challenge for people to participate, learn and develop
    Citizenship
  • Has a positive impact within local communities.

OUR ROLE


The Action on Disability Project offers a diverse range of opportunities.


The project has a volunteer co-ordinator in place to recruit and match volunteers to opportunities, manage and supervise volunteers and offer support and encouragement.
